Reflecting on our learning about India

Year 4 have been having lots of fun learning all about India. As part of their work in class this week, they will each be sharing what they have most enjoyed learning about and doing during the last term. Keep checking the blog throughout the week to read all about what Mozart children have been up to. If you would like to ask them any questions to further their learning, or to find out more about what they have shared, please respond to their blog posts and they will enjoy getting back to you.

  1. I enjoyed when we helped reception because it was fun to get to know receptions skills and see how we get along with them. Also I enjoyed when we didn’t know that they were doing the same thing as we were doing.

  2. The thing I like about the India topic is the henna patterns drawn on our hand’s. We had a lady called miss butt come in and draw henna patterns for us because we did not know how to do them. Miss butt was fast and quick and done in no time. It was hard not to fiddle with them Kian completely smujed his. It was great fun.

  4. My favourite part of India was when drawing the rangoli patterns for our henna patterns on our hand’s! It was fun because I like drawing, painting and colouring so I thought about it and it became my favourite thing about India, aswell as me and Jacob got to draw real henna ink on a A4 piece of paper that’s why it was
    fun.

  5. My favourite thing so far during our indian topic is doing painting ,making clay pots and henna designs on pieces of papper with the new receptions because I like working with little children and helping them.

  6. My favourite thing about the India topic is when we had henna done. There were different patterns to discover. Like different flowers I had a flower 3 circles and lots of petals. There were patterns like barlit patterns and moutin patterns. Two boys in my class actually got to use the henna ink. I got a mixture of patterns like a flower and a bracelet pattern, a cross hatch pattern and lots of other stuff. Mozart class were really happy. Probbly the other class liked it to. Did I mention that we had it done by a really nice, very good person? Mrs Butt! Everyone loved it.

  7. I really enjoyed the Henna as it makes me feel like a real Indian! I also liked the rotation clothes activaty because it makes me feel like I’m in a Indian wedding.

  8. I enjoyed doing the things with the receptions like doing the clay with them and the henna and drawing around there hand. Also painting and folding it in half to make the same pattern on each side. It was so fun to meet the receptions.

  9. I enjoyed doing things with receptions because they got to do exiting things to do with India. They got to do things like, making pot’s out of clay and paint some Indian pictures and things like that they really enjoyed it.
