I had the pleasure of teaching Mozart class yesterday where we were describing our mythical beasts to include in our story writing. I was very impressed with all of the class as they came up with some fantastic similes and power openers to make the monsters grotesque. Four particular children really stood out to me as they were working well in their groups and came up with some really imaginative ideas. Well done to Callum, Kimran, Jack and Louie for being my Hero Learners! I look forward to teaching Mozart class more in the next few weeks and I can’t wait to hear their own Greek myths!
A bit slow to get going but we wanted to post a huge thank you for all the wonderful presents and cards we received.
Chocolate seemed to feature heavily so it’s back on the treadmill for us!
Today we had an emergency assembly with a message from the government and a box full of lovely new books. Our Year group book is The Red Tree by Shaun Tan a great author and illustrator. The children came up with some insightful comments about his blending of colours and detailed patterns. Check the new reading blog site and post a comment.
