Out in the Community

Despite the hectic week Year 4 troopers have been on it- (with the help of Mrs Fosbury) delivering their festive chocolate treats and best wishes to the community.
We have been thinking hard about how giving can be so much more rewarding than just receiving gifts at Christmas. So instead of scoffing all the truffles ourselves, we have be delivering them to people we think deserve a special treat.
We have visited local care homes, the fire station, the police and East Hunsbury DSP. In fact, all of the places we have visited have responded by giving back- sharing some time to show us what they do, singing songs and smiling 😉
What a wonderful experience for all the children, as well as getting a ride on the shiny, new minibus!
Paying it forward at the care home.

We have our very special visitor, Russel Smith from Northampton College, who has come in today to work with the children to make their chocolate truffles. The children have listened really well and the first batch looks like something out of Thornton’s display cabinet! It’s all go for Y4…
