Y4 Showcase

Well done Year 4 for pulling off an amazing showcase. You have worked so hard throughout the topic but you particularly shone as you worked on and developed your showcase pieces. Great to see lots of support from families tonight and some great moves on the dance floor!

Well done year 4. We look forward to launching our new topic on Monday…

Heroes of Kinetic Letters

Or should we say- Handwriting Heroes?
We have been blessed with some additional support in the mornings from Ellie. I used to teach her in Year 5 at SdS and she has been inspired to carry on her studies after Sixth from to become a teacher!
So Ellie watched the children intently, this morning ‘planking’ their Kinetic Letters and the heroes who- listened carefully to instructions and carried them through perfectly were:

Chloe Congratulations 😉

Remember, Remember the 5th of November

What a great start to a new term. The children were buzzing about swimming and are fired up for next week after the swimming assessments yesterday. Well done Mozart and parents as almost every child had swimming kit for the first day back!
All our hard work from last term is paying off and more and more children are really engaging with positive learning behaviours in and around school. Becoming true ‘Heroes of Learning’.
I lead some learning conversations with individual children about their writing today and there was so much to celebrate as they have put their learning into practice- so Isabelle, Jack, Callum, Alex and Esme were heroes today for how they were able to discuss their work with maturity and then go and improve it further.
Lastly, Theo has already had two WAGOLLS shown in class so far this week and has been practising Rangoli compass patterns at home too- I can’t wait to see the finished product!
Well done to you all 😉

Splish Splash- Swimming!

Hello Mozart

Trust you have all had a safe and happy holiday.

Just a quick reminder that we are all going swimming the first day back- Tuesday 4th November. So please do not forget your towel, swimming hat and most importantly your swimming costume! Girls with long hair should also bring a hairband.
Can’t wait to tell you all about my surfing holiday in Devon! 🙂
